Confused HackTool in Kaspersky Suite CBE 09

    Hi Everyone,

I would like to inform you that today i have very strange and interesting thing in Kaspersky Suite CBE 09. I have downloaded this suite from Raymond's blog in order to test it on System. When i have downloaded it, i put it on my external HDD and scanned it with my ESET Smart Security 4.0 and the suite was found clean. After that i just downloaded a Kaspersky Removal Tool 7.0.0.290 (Updated 11.07.2009) from Kaspersky's website. After downloading i scanned my external HDD with it where i already placed Kaspersky Suite CBE 09. When i scanned it, AV removal found a malware inside the suite. It was found as a malware Hacktool.Win32.KKFinder.f . Now tell you what i was got confused due to this kind act of AV removal tool.

It feels that one Kaspersky is finding other one as a malware...LOL

Could anybody help me in this regard?

You guys are very free to test it on your system. Any screenshot will be provided upon request. Please comment your viwes in this regard.

Avinash you're being way too sensitive! I just merely said that you were freaking out as I got 2 PMs from you and 1 posting in this forum, that's all. Do I look like I am "hyper"? Did I ever said that you were lying? Who is hyper now?

Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool uses the same signature files as the current KAV 2010 but it's still on the old engine.

vickypark, yes it has archive scanning enable. I saw that KAV 2010 extracted the msi files and scanned all files in it. The reason why are you are seeing that it completed scanning less than 1 minute ago was because I scanned it multiple times using different settings and nothing was detected.

Update: I downloaded Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool few hours ago and tested on Kaspersky CBE 2009 installer. No threat detected. The version that you have probably had false positives. Try download the latest one and check.

It's the Kasper-Key Sharing Network that's being detected.
