does kaspersky detect and remove autorun viruses
I was surprised that my work antivirus Mcafe detects autorun virus at my USB flash even I have kaspersky at my home laptop.
So my question is
does kaspersky detect and remove autorun viruses

as far as I know
Kaspersky is able to check and scan every external device, USB flash included.
It is of course able to detect and remove all auturun viruses which are in its data base
Kaspersky should be able to disable autorun in Windows O.S at your choice
I have been using Kaspersky for a long time, now I use Avira or Eset NOD32

Yeah it does. I know on my sis laptop, it remove 7 nasties on the pendrive (some worm, autorun.inf and etc...)
Thoughts are like a never ending ocean where it is deep, endless and dangerous

KAV 2010 has usb scan option feature
- Full-scan Option ( all files )
- Quick Scan Option ( .exe only )
- Do not scan
It will prompt an alert notifying the user, once it detected a new usb device/flashdrive

When I had KIS 2009 (now I have the 2010 version), I connected an USB flash drive which I previously used on a school computer. Kaspersky prompted an alert, saying that there was a Conflicter virus and immediately deleted the threat.
So yes... Kaspersky is detecting autorun viruses.
