Even the annoying roguewares are quickly evolving and do avoid most of the topnotch AV . Some malwares were now incorporating malware agents ( forgot the right technical term for it ) but most AV detected it as trojan agents which is actually harmless file usually in fake codec form then once you activated it then it will download the real "malicious payload" then boom...

Another method is via backdoored ( trojan binded on a legitimate file ) form. It does work by using your "trust" ( via social engineering efforts ) and you forgot to use your brain.exe, then any trojan/ malwares can actually bypassed any AV/Security scanner.

So in short to avoid hassles and headache, refrain from downloading files that you won't need or use, and be sure you go on a legitimate site.
