Confused Panda Cloud Antivirus, is it enough?

So I'm planning on using this antivirus on my laptop just for home use, but is it enough for malware protection? Or do you actually need an extra Antivirus solution to run with Panda Cloud?

    Thnx in advance

If you trust Panda Cloud to protect you, then it's enough. If not, you might want to consider a 'supplement' to it. Some users report that it's fine to run Panda Cloud with another traditional desktop-based AV while others disagree. As such, it's advisable for you to check if the other AV solution you are going to use is compatible with Panda. Remember compatibility is VERY important.

Otherwise, you can just add an on-demand anti-malware app like Malwarebytes or SuperAntiSpyware (I don't know if they are compatible with Panda, you have to check on your own...) That's all for now.

P.S. i don't use Panda Cloud...so you might want to hear from others who use it...to find out their experiences.

It all depends on your www practices.

If you browse this forum, an online newspaper and check your e-mail, i.e. stay on safe sites, you will have more than enough defense with Panda Cloud (or any other popular free AV).

If you download pirated software, browse porn, download & install codecs for porn, download torrents and stuff from eMule, warez sites, install free screensavers etc and after that you login to your internet banking:
    a) you are dumb
    b) you should install additional layers of protection.

I´ve been running on my computer with just windows firewall and nothing else for several months. I cannot recommend it to anyone, but I never saw a problem and my computer started up in a jiffy and the hijackthis log was so beautifully short I could cry. Take that, you security paranoids.

    @Gabethebabe

    You are the BABE!!!

I too have friends (and I myself used to) running PCs with no AV installed and simply using Windows firewall...and most of them rarely get infected. Not that they are smart but it's just that they only use the web for 'simple safe' purposes...go to Youtube, Facebook and reading blogs...that's all most of the time. Warez and cracks? Most of them have no idea what are those...

Me myself using just Avira and Windows firewall for some time now...and have been running fine with no infection so far. There are users who overload their PC with too much security apps but still get infected...the reason: lack of common sense. Some of them turn off their firewall to download that pirated game, turn off AV (so-called for a while) to run a crack/keygen for XXX software, download that seemingly innocent "codecs" from unknown sites just to watch for free that latest movie on the cinema...

As long as there's the word FREE, most human beings are gullible and easy victims for malware distributors...

Panda Coud is not very customizable, it doesn't ask for example what to do: simply tries to delete everything it considers as malware.
It doesn't offer an on line protection.

Avira free or MSE or Avast home are better in my opinion

What? Another Norton-style of protection? Lucky I'm not using Panda Cloud...thanks for the heads up on that one, leofelix.
