MalAware 1.0 Beta
Extremely small and ultra fast malware scanner
The basic idea behind MalAware was to create build the smallest possible (1 mb) and the fastest possible malware scanner (scan <1 min) that will only provide an indication of whether a PC is infected with malware or not.
However, it should still get the full Emsi Software technology with more than 3 million known nasties. Not an easy task - but our developers have found ways and means to meet these seemingly impossible combinable requirements. By combining a strongly limited version of the signature database of known malware paths with a cloud based scan of all active processes, MalAware achieves a similar accuracy as a-squared Anti-Malware.

wow a nice one but again i am afraid of the number of false positive
ok guys i had used this but i dont think anyone would like this it is so small that it is hardly efficient to detect any threat and after a scan(which hardly took seconds) it offers to buy their full product.bogus

Size doesn´t matter, see PREVX.
A nice initiative. I have A2 full on m y computer so I do not need it but we welcome anything that scans fast. There is enough antimalbloatware on the market as it is.

I have just downloaded and scanned my PC using this. No infections found...that's good to see but the fact is I do have a few 'infected' zipped files on my PC.
I like the fact that it's scan was fast but it urges you to purchase a-squared antimalware to remove infections if there's any...and opens up a2 website each time you exit the app...I don't quite like that.
A scanner that detects, no removal, pops-up the website (although harmless), and urges you to pay looks more an advertising tool for the company rather than a true savior. I'm not saying it's roguware (we all know it isn't) but for a noob who doesn't know a-squared company well, they might mistake and think of this as rogueware...just my opinion.
They call me the mysterious one...

Hope this clears up everything.

Not a particularly useful tool, but more for a quick scan to see if infected or not. I have had full version of A Squared (for free , of course) for a few years, and the free version before that. So this was of zero use for me, I didn't even bother. But is a new tool released from an established company, so I posted it here. Not everything is a suggestion, more for informations sake, lol.
