Looking for a good firewall and anti-virus program

Hey guys my computer isn't very well protected and i was wondering if you could give me some recommened firewall and anti-virus programms to keep it safe. Some cleaning programs wouldn't be bad.

    Thanks for any help.

    Cheers.

Get Avira Antivirus Free Edition and Comodo Firewall if you don't have a budget. They are the best free protection available.

If you're willing to pay, go for Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

For cleaning purposes, try Advanced System Care or CCleaner.

Well Comodo Firewall and Outpost are my recommendations. As for AV ESET and the latest NAV is fine and doesn't slow pc's from my end

    This are my recommendations :

    Free Antivirus
    1. Avira
    2. Avast (Wait for v5. I heard is very good)

    Free good firewall
    1. PC tools firewall
    2. Online armor free
    3. Outpost free
    4. Comodo firefall (if you trust it. I don't)

    On Demand scanner
    1. Malwarebytes
    2. A squared (too heavy and false positive is high)

    Behaviour base blocking
    1. Threatfire

    Paid Internet Security
    1. Kaspersky Internet Security 2010
    2. Eset Smart Security v4

    Cleaners :
    1. Ccleaner
    2. Advance System Care Pro (look under the tutorials on how to obtain unlimited license)

    Defragmentor
    1. Mydefrag
    2. Smart Defrag

    Hope that helps.

Without defese +, it would have lost its touch. Like a tiger losing its teeth. Not if you configure it nicely. Then it won't pop up so much...
