    *MBAM* Is this FP?

I just installed Windows 7. I did a MBAM quick scan. It found this:

    Do you think it's FP?

Note: This is desktop. Windows 7 64bit OS.

    Thanks leofelix.
So it was way back 2008. I wonder why MBAM does not fix the issue?

    You are welcome,
Unfortunately some kinds of malware can have the same location too. When I installed my Windows 7 64 bit and I ran MBAM I had the same issue.
It is very difficult that your system is infected since you have just installed it

fp's using mbam are not frequent but do happen; last one i got was windows cryptography component (?), use hijacthis, google, md5 dbs, virustotal to help you decide

Hopefully it will be fixed with the next version which is in beta now.

I never encounter that everytime i am using MBAM to scan my drive. Maybe your ie was infected before. Try to upload the infected file on virustotal.

Explorer is not Internet Explorer;-) And I do not think Virustotal is able to check your registry

Might just be MBAM letting you know of a setting changed from the default.

Since you said you've just installed Win7, it's highly likely just a FP...nothing to worry about
