Shifted my desktop to lubuntu 11.10. No security software installed. Just installed bitdefender trafficlight for firefox. My PC is super fast now

i installed ubuntu a while ago on my desktop and it really screwed my machine totally. But in the near future i am planning to give it another try on my laptop. I am so in love with security software that i really do not want to have something so secure with me . But i got to admit that ubuntu is a very very nice thing to have

You might be interested in this. You can now run Ubuntu within Windows. I tried it and it worked fine. When you don't want it you can remove it through add/remove programs.
