Thumbs up AVG Threat Labs: an exciting new threat information portal

AVG Threat Labs: an exciting new threat information portal

AVG has launched a new online threats information portal, called AVG Threat Labs for limited public Beta test. Threat Labs does What is that it merges the quantitative web threat detection data that AVG routinely collects from our 100 million-plus users through our unique tool LinkScanner with consumer feedback.

Those users of AVG, who already have LinkScanner installed as part of their AVG protection suite, watch out for dangerous websites through LinkScanner while they surf the net. LinkScanner then tells us when they stumble across something that’s dangerous acting as a neighbourhood watch for the whole internet.
We expect to launch the full consumer version of AVG’s Threat Labs in late September coinciding with our launch of AVG 2011.
    Source.

Thanks indranil. I look forward to the implementation as one of our computers runs the AVG suite.

Leo I think as they said they are going to launch the full consumer version of AVG’s Threat Labs in late September coinciding with the launch of AVG 2011. So I think for that purpose it is in limited public beta test. Not sure just my opinion .
