    AV-Test: Real World Testing

    Executive Summary
During August 2010, AV-Test performed a comparative review of 13 security products to determine their real-world protection capabilities. The test was designed to challenge the products against 0-day attacks from the internet, which includes the most common infection vectors these days. The samples were accessed via direct links to malicious executable files, by drive-by-download websites that utilize exploits and by opening mail attachments.

Problem for me is only 57 samples... i believe the Denis test is more biased than this one.

Thanks Neo whether or not it was a biased test the closest rival was Kaspersky and in some case there where large gaps between competitors..
If like MS people think the test was not fair, the claims will be refuted quickly enough,
I haven't used Norton for 5yrs myself, but this did pose some interesting results..

MS Welcome to Raymonds and i hope you enjoy the forums, thank you for your imput and i look forward to reading your posts

Thanks for the share. Hmmm Less sample test.
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

Small sample limitation...a thousand samples would take them forever. So, practically not bad either.End user remains the captain of the ship, just sail where the waves are calm. Focus on the malware vectors and how will you filter/avoid those foreign visitors.
