Thanks Kees. That was quite a sobering article.

We detected the virus in the SCADA [supervisory control and data acquisition] systems of 14 plants in operation but without any malfunction of process and production and without any damage,”
ohhh.. i have worked over the " SCADA " system and it will be a blunder if it will be infected by the virus.. whole " oil monitoring " system in Pipelines will collapse....
thanks for the info Kees.. really thrilling news for me..

Thanks for the news Kees. They must put some attention otherwise the results could be devastating.
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

Sounds like timebombs. I hoe everyone updates their firewalls and AV regularly.
Unfortunately most companies rely on McAfee or Norton, and they are not always the best protection.

If you search for "Stuxnet" here on Raymond.cc you will find a number of posts probably more relevant to you. The problem for home users is not Stuxnet itself but the malware families that upgraded themselves to use the Stuxnet exploits... "designed to steal industrial secrets"... latest research suggests it was designed to sabotage Iran's nuclear reactor.

Microsoft has already patched two of its 0 day bugs, other two (known) to go.
