Happy Rubenking says Comodo AV has "Excellent Malware Blocking"

Comodo Antivirus 5.0 uses a wide variety of malware detection methods, including a large local signature database, heuristic detection, cloud-based behavior analysis, and a sandboxing feature that prevents suspected threats from making any permanent changes to the computer. If you choose to enable Comodo's Secure DNS at installation, it automatically makes the necessary network configuration change.

In his testing Comodo did better than Kaspersky http://www.pcmag.com/image_popup/0,1871,iid=270709,00.asp

I have tried Comodo antivirus some years ago and it was not worth a penny, in return Comodo Antivirus detected ask toolbar which was included in older Comodo CIS versions as malware

I hope it is really improved.

i am using comodo v5 its gud suite . the user find diffculty when large pop came but these r due to this reason bcoz we r using other security software which produce less popup means we r in a habit of using software thts require less user interaction i thnk we find diffcult while using this comodo . but its really a gud software it detection is quite gud .
    its total defination files

    Total Definitions:
    5440445
a lot of improvenment r there last 6 years .
other product like Norton which was called by many user a resource hog software in 2007 ,2008 but after tht they improve there product in 2009 and 2010 .every company experience problem .know norton is gud in today date but some year ago nobody use there product bcoz of the resource hog.
i thnk its a habit if we use comodo for a week then we hve habit and i thnk after tht we didn't find any diffculty of using this free antivirus .

Yeah Comodo Skin looks real cool too(Seriously I mean it!!)
It has great features for a free product(Cloud support,Disk Encryption Support, HIPS enabled firewall and so on!!)
    Very Light

But Comodo IS fails on some major Points
-----Intrusive and Frequent Pop ups that tend to Irritate or Stress the user
-----Excellent Detection comes with High level of False Positives
-----Can't fully remove the detected genuine Malware

    P.S.
why do you think they haven't yet Submitted their product to AV-Comparatives for review yet?
Because the product still has some major Glitches and can't compete with other Free alternatives like Avast!

This is due to user misconfiguration, read manual before use.

And you concluded this because... ?
-----Can't fully remove the detected genuine Malware
    None product removes all.

We were discussing this the other day...
