Big Grin BitDefender Announces Beta Launch of safego Application

Goes beyond Facebook’s built-in privacy controls to alert users of personal information leaks, safeguard against e-threats, and only access safe content.

BitDefender announced the BETA launch of safego - an application, which uses BitDefender,’s sophisticated scanning technology to take the confusion out of a safe social networking experience. Designed to be used on various social networks, BitDefender safego is now being BETA tested on Facebook.
    Benefits of BitDefender safego:
Privacy protection – users are warned when they should modify their Facebook privacy settings so personal information isn’t exposed
Automatic scanning –users simply press the “scan now” button to get a snapshot of their Facebook security status
24/7 protection – Facebook accounts are protected even when users are not logged in to Facebook
Protection for friends – users will have the ability to warn their friends about infected links in their Facebook accounts

This is why I'm follow Sophos and use common sense... and comment on people's pages.

Usually, that's more then enough to do the same thing imo.

I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

Anyone tried this? What does it do exactly? I mean I'd appreciate some GUIs of this app in action on Facebook. I don't know though if I can convince those I know of using FB to install this in their account...mention 'security' and they'd go bollocks.
