BitDefender Announces Beta Launch of safego Application

BitDefender announced the BETA launch of safego - an application, which uses BitDefender,’s sophisticated scanning technology to take the confusion out of a safe social networking experience. Designed to be used on various social networks, BitDefender safego is now being BETA tested on Facebook.

Privacy protection – users are warned when they should modify their Facebook privacy settings so personal information isn’t exposed

Already using it on my decoy account + Norton Safe Web fb plugin. Definitely a must fb app for people who have at least 500 or more careless friends!

Thank you for the news BoyFriend looks like a credible app, i will try this out myself but i tend to avoid facebook and mostly only people that are close anyway.

Anyone tried this? What does it do exactly? I mean I'd appreciate some GUIs of this app in action on Facebook. I don't know though if I can convince those I know of using FB to install this in their account...mention 'security' and they'd go bollocks.
