Thumbs up Google adds Malicious Download Protection to Chrome

Google today introduced a new feature for developer editions of Chrome and Chromium software. The new feature is based on safe Browsing API used by Google search to warn users who may attempt to visit these dangerous webpages.

The new feature aims to protect users against all kinds of downloads, starting with malicious Windows executables. The new feature will be integrated with Google Chrome and will display a warning if a user attempts to download a suspected malicious executable file.
