Search GFI's ClearCloud DNS service will be discontinued !!!!!

Here is a bad news for all ClearCloud DNS users they are going to discontinue the support. Today I was testing some sites suddenly ClearCloud blocked me and I saw the notification there. Also it is officially stated in their forum too .

Effective September 1, 2011, GFI's ClearCloud DNS service will be discontinued and no longer available for consumer use. While we have many loyal ClearCloud DNS users, we have found that most customers prefer the more robust web filtering solution available as a feature in our VIPRE Premium product.

We would like to thank all of the beta testers for their valuable feedback throughout this last 12 month evaluation period.

To discontinue using the ClearCloud DNS service, you will need to reconfigure your network connection. If this is not done prior to September 1, 2011, your Internet connectivity will be interrupted. Learn how to remove ClearCloud DNS from your computer by clicking here.

Sad but tolerable. Free and secure DNS services are still plenty out there.

Damn. It was good. Looks like they can't get financial returns with it. Hence the discontinuation.

Time to use Norton DNS. Any opinion about it? I know last time safeguy refuse to use it because of Ask issue. Is it still there? How does it fare?

Thanks for the heads up Indra! I haven't gotten the same notice myself yet, but am sure I will at some point. Bummer! I really like ClearCloud.

    @ Indranil
Clear Cloud DNS is still good until September 1.

Google DNS or Open DNS ( http://www.opendns.com/home ) are good and FREE alternatives
