Another good antivirus that is free will be Avira.
Light and good detection. As far as I know, many malware coders primarily chose Kaspersky and then comes Avira.
I thought Kaspersky you had to pay for?
I am a satisfied Avast user and speaking only for myself, I wouldn't change a thing.
Oh BTW, welcome to Raymond CC Forum! I hope you enjoy your stay.![]()

Personally I use Comodo Internet Security Premium 5.5. It does a fantastic job. Firewall, Defense + and anti-virus. The best thing about it is that it is free.![]()
Linux Distro at the moment Fedora 17 / Firefox 12.0
Microsoft Security Essentials![]()
Yes you are right -> English is not my nature language = Me talk bad English
I would recommend Comodo firewall and D+ if you are at least and average user and know what to do with the pop-ups .
keep Avast as it is a great antivirus install Keriver free here and you will be pretty much covered even if you get really bad infected or something goes down the hill . If you want to purchase then
Norton IS will be great
ZoneAlarm Extreme Security will be just enough to cover everything.( my favorite)

My reccomendations are:free Anti-virus programs
1) Avast antivirus free
2) Microsoft Security Essential
3) Panda Cloud Antivirus free (uncheck panda/yahoo toolbar during setup)
if you want to add a free anti-malware (on demand) I would add
1) MalwareBytes Antimalware free
2) SuperAntispyware free
What I cannot reccomend:
1) PC Tools antivirus free (comes with ask toolbar - adware - renamed)
2) Avira antivirus free (comes with ask toolbar - adware - renamed)
3) BitDefender free (ask toolbar)
Never use two resident antivirus at once and two Firewall at the same time on the same machine.
Also please avoid this kind of topic as you can research the forum or have a look at Raymond blog reviews and find a solution by yourself
Thanks and welcome aboard![]()

Hi Gutso, I think it would be helpful to spend a little time in the Security Setup subsection of this Forum.
