Dealing with User-ID and Password on Mozilla Firefox.

    Dear all,

It has been since more than a year I've been using KeePass to handle all my passwords.

Therefore, I would like to find a clean WEB form when I have to put my user-ID and password to access the different on-line services I use (I use the built-in auto-type function with tho channel auto-type obfuscation).

Well... I hate when I open my Mozilla Firefox, try to access my GMAIL page (for example) and find already there my full gmail account!!

I think I did everything to avoid this, properly setting the options (in privacy).

But if now I close my browser and open it up again... I will find my full gmail account in the username field already filled.

Well... I know you know more than me, so please... tell me how one can set the browser in order to always have clean forms!

    Thank you in advance,
    lello.siddi.

Try to clear browser cache. Press ctrl+shift+del in firefox then clean everything and see.
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

    My dear,

Thank you for the suggestions. I used to do this...
However, I don't want to worry about this; I don't want to do something manually!

My question is if it is possible to set the browser in order to avoid all this...

    You can try this

    Instructions

    In Internet Explorer
    ----------------------

    Launch Internet Explorer.

Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the window and select "Internet Options."

Look under "Browsing History" on the "General" tab, and you'll see a box next to the words "Delete browsing history on exit." If this box does not have a check in it, click the box to place one there.

Click the "Apply" button. Explorer will now purge the history every time the window is closed.

    ===========================================================================

    In Firefox
    ------------

    Launch Firefox.

Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the window; then select "Options."

Click the "Privacy" tab; then look at the bottom of the tab for a box next to the words "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox." If there is not a check mark in this box, click it to place one there.

    Close the Options window.
    ===========================================================================

    In Safari
    -------------

    Launch Safari.

Click the "Safari" menu at the top-left corner of the screen and select "Preferences."

In the "General" tab, click the drop-down menu next to the words "Clear history" and select the interval at which you would like the browsing history to be automatically deleted.

    Close the Preferences window.

i would like to Advice another thing.. Since you are saying Firefox has already saved your data...you have to delete the password remembered by the Firefox first . you can simply delete the data and the proceed to the steps given by Stranger...

Step 1: First go to option: and then to Security ; Deselect " Remember Password for the site ": ( for future protection)
Then Go to Saved Password on the right Side there like this:

    S
tep 2: By clicking over that you will find the Site Name along with the User name filled by you/Anybody on that site..
You can even see the Password saved by them.
    ..

    like this :

Simply see the password if you have forgotten and then Click the Remove all button or Select one of them ( e.g gmail in your case ) and remove that one only....

all the entry will erased by selecting Remove all so be sure if you have remembered all the data...

I thank you, princeaniket, for the detailed instructions.
However, I've never saved any password on my browser. So, those options have always been deselected in my case. In fact, in the "saved Password" there is simply nothing.
I was just worried about the fact that opening a new page the "user name" field was already filled!
    Thanx a lot!
