KeyScrambler and its bugs on my machine.
Hallo, my dear forum users.
I've just read about the GAOTD on KeyScrambler and I remembered a bug I had with this program.
(Windows XP SP3, Mozilla Firefox, the previous release).
I used KeyScrambler for a while (after the Raymond's review).
But, I uninstalled it after some bugs I had by using it: in particular, the program stopped working properly and during typing I could see the random characters instead of mine. It was annoying! This issue used to appear in a randomly fashion (about frequency, let's say once a day). Have any of you experienced the same things?
Thanx in advance,
lello.siddi.

At one time, (around the time I joined this forum) I re-installed my OS daily.

Eheh...
This is your view-point. And it is understandable.
From my point of view, I had a problem (avast) and some minor problems (firefox.exe and privacy on FF) during the last month. All these problems have been at once proposed when I got acquainted with this beautiful forum!
Plus... I remember all the problems I had with windows (KeyScrambler).
Double Plus... I know how rewarding, satisfying and gratifying is for you solving Computer problems!! :P
Eheh...
By the way; I really liked KeyScrambler. But that problem really

Yes, occasionally you see the correct letters in the Keyscrambler display, and the random characters in the form you are filling. Just click on the Keyscrambler tray icon to fix that. Only happens very randomly from my years of experience with it. A Guy

Yes. And that was the way I used to fix it. The difference is that, as I said, in my case it was more frequent.
At least, I know now it is a "common" problem...
Thanx.

can you tell the error msg? it is normal that you can see encrypted keystrokes. usual error from keyscrambler is error in module. but re installing would fix the problem. just disable it when you think your computer is secure from keylogger and if your not using internet.

Yeah, dear Stranger. I was kidding too! It's a fantastic place here to learn new things!
And, Redfox: as "A Guy" said, "occasionally you see the correct letters in the Keyscrambler display, and the random characters in the form you are filling". This is what was happening to me. No error message at all.
I will try re-installing it.
Thanx.

A known bug in KeyScrambler.
http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2011/05/24/keyscrambler-fights-keyloggers-by-encrypting-what-you-type-on-keyboard/
There is an bug that has been on-going for a long time which is sometimes the encrypted text ends up on the textbox rather than the real text. All you need to do is hit the backspace once and everything goes back to normal.
