''How-To : Make Firewalls and Antivirus Compatible''

    Hi,

I think this article is worth reading , at least by some of our members :

''How-To : Make Firewalls and Antivirus Compatible''

Best regards and have a nice weekend guys !

PS. I don't know why , but often when I try to ''force'' things between 2 to 3 softwares I remember the following :

----> ''Don't force it; get a larger hammer.''

Agree Murphy...some good advice for not so experienced users.

''Don't force it; get a larger hammer.''
LOL. You forgot the large screw driver as well!! LOL
It is often better to keep one's mouth shut and appear to be a fool than to open it and remove all doubt!

As I posted there, don't forget to exclude respective driver files too, located in
    Sysdrive:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers

    Thank you Murphy
I'm glad to know that someone discovered the existence of an exclusion list in the most of antivirus and firewalls, even though I would not disable the Keylogger detection in OA, not to count that OA premium already comes with a full anti-malware: namely Emsisoft anti-malware

The exclusion list have been added for a good reason: for example to help people who like to run a customized security setup

Some Exclusions to avoid clashes and also can help relieve the heavy duty Antivirus Real-time. Computer performance will also be more smoothly.

Is it necessary to exclude driver files in \WINDOWS\system32\drivers ?
All I do is: exclude exe files where the security software is installed.
