Is this a virus/malware problem?

I am getting strange problem on my pc today. The mouse stops working suddenly twice or thrice and each time i have to plug out and in .
My internet connection is also automatically disconecting and my pc running a bit slow.
Is it hardware problem or virus attack on my system.
I scanned my system with avast and mbam and they found nothing neither did hitman pro

If your modem/router and your mouse are both connected by USB check in Device Manager to see if there are any warnings on your USB connections, mice, or Network Connections.

Seems like a compatibility problem to me. Your PC may start misbehaving with you if you run apps not compatible with each other.

Could be hardware or software problem but i guess more hardware. Sounds most like hardware and there USB ports / USB ports connection problem to me. Or worse case some of your USB device is start going down or is a little or more broken already? Have you install any new drivers lately?
