Have you tried manually downloading the installer from Hitman Pro's website?

Hey Ted, I didn't have any problems myself with running the update myself. Have you tried completely uninstalling the progam and then installing the new version? After I uninstall any program, I usually do a search for any left over folders and then scan the registry and delete the entries pertaining to that particular program. I make a backup of the registry first, so if I accidentally delete something that causes a problem I can restore it. By doing a complete uninstall, maybe the new version will run for you.

hitman pro 64 bit version 3.5.9 build 131 is the latest version as far as I know.
Hitman pro doesn't need to update as it is not signature based.
Maybe Erik Loman , the developer of HitmMan pro, can help you at wilderssecurity

Glad to hear you got the problem sorted Ted, but that business with the software trying to update when an update isn't availabe is strange and I've never had anything like that happen.

Don't wonder. It's got to do with 64-bit...32-bit users aren't affected.
P.S. It's my lame attempt at scaremongering users away from 64-bit. Pls don't mind..

Sorry, but your scaremongering won't work on me safeguy. I am more afraid of going through the hassle of re-installing Windows than encountering problems with my 64bit installation.
