Although I am not using it, but I have somewhat tested it.
To be honest, Vipre is a moderate antivirus. It is not really fast nor slow.
Detection of viruses is also moderate.

It's a good antivirus and very good web filter.

Nothing bad about Vipre: stable, good antivirus. As I guess, it is even much better than Kasper and Dr.Web...

It's ok, I guess, but I think you could find better. Vipre is simple and straightforward and level of detection is decent. I started to use it on my older computer because I heard that Vipre is very light antivirus. It's light but sometimes it hogs system resources for too long. It raises CPU to 100% and keeps it there for very long. I finally decided to uninstall it after one nasty false positive detection. Vipre detected explorer.exe as virus.Luckily, I was at the computer at that time and not my mother (she usually use it), so disaster was avoided. I'm not saying that other antivirus programs don't make mistakes, but it's obvious that some of them are more sloppy.

I have say this already and say it again. In my opinion Vipre is overvalued. I had a change to use Vipre a longer time because i was lucky to win a 1 year license to Vipre Antivirus at 2011. But lucky 1 year license or not after some time i decided to uninstall it because of problems.
Yes you are right -> English is not my nature language = Me talk bad English

It needs to download its full definition update file periodically which is over 80mb. This is relevant if you are on limited bandwidth.

Yeah, I forgot to mention this. That's really annoying. At first I thought there is something wrong with it. I don't know any other antivirus that periodically downloads full definition update.

I thought, this only happens during the first time you installed it? Just like any AV client, it will suck-up anything the online server can give... so it will have the latest malware definition on its target. Or just a broken definition updates issue? Which you may either roll-it back or just re-download the whole signature to fix it.

that's what i hate about av's that it needs to download the full signature or updates like asquare 40MB each time you update. Same as kaspersky.
