    Hi
I am using Windows XP SP2. To save the system resources, I choose to turn off the
windows automatic update, but I found the icon representing Windows Secuirty Alerts still appears in the Taskbar.

It's quite annoying, I could say.

What should I do in MsConfig to make this icon never pop up again in my Windows' Taskbar.

You are able to disable the security shield by clicking on it and on the left side of the menu, you can select the option how the security center should alert you. Just disable everything and it won't alert you anymore.
