    Hi...

By opening a file on msn messenger i got a series of troubles by some viruses.

i followed the instructions on "How To Clean or Remove Virus/Spyware/Trojan When You Can’t Boot In Windows" on this website, HOWEVER, I still cannot boot in windows.

I downloaded Hiren's Boot CD and tried to boot with it, however when selecting the CD, the system just didn't get the Hiren's start up menu and went directly to windows log in to restart all over again.

I checked the CD and it seems ok... ISO file etc...

What could the problem be? Is it the virus itself that is hindering me from booting from the CD or is it that I have done something wrong when burning HIREN's CD?

Thanks in advance for your help!!! and keep up the good work on this site - i hav got some great tips!

    elly

I've tried cleaning Brontok with Hiren's BootCD before and it worked fine. Not sure why it couldn't delete the virus even though it's on DOS. Brontok virus is not active on DOS.

I think maybe your computer was attacked by a virus called W32.Blaster.Worm.. Try to use Hiren's BootCD many times as possible. After you have do this, try to scan your computer with any antivirus software (I suggest you to use Avast! or Kaspersky). Make sure your antivirus is on up-to-date. If not, update your antivirus database at any cyber cafe or your friends' home because this virus is more active when you are online on the web. I hope this method will help you. tq
