In all partitions on my system, I find two system files, auto.exe and auto.inf.
When I click on show hidden files from folder options, it keeps reverting back to "Do not show hidden files & folder".
    What do I di?

Send the auto.exe and auto.inf to me. I'll check it out. You can upload it to fileberry.com and let me know the link.

The problem is, THERE IS A VIRUS that's causing this. Use a good virus scanner such as Kaspersky... I can't help you because I don't know what virus you're being infected. There are thousands and thousands of virus, if you didn't know!

I too got the problem. Basically, the autorun.exe is a virus while autorun.inf is the information file which puts autoplay on the right click menu of the partition. Scanning your system with Kaspersky will solve this problem surely. :)

It's quite a low risk virus. Symantec calls it W32.Kaxela.A and Kaspersky calls it Backdoor.Win32.Agent.ahj.

To clean it, just use your antivirus to scan it and remove the virus, and then you have to manually remove entries from your registry. The instructions are on step no 4.
