Can kaspersky makes it to newer version through updates?

Hi.I have kaspersky internet secutiy 7.0 genuine.Can it update to the newer version.I had completed the update but no effect.

you download the setup file http://dnl-us5.kaspersky-labs.com/products/english/homeuser/kis2009/kis8.0.0.357en.exe this isn't the latest one anyway the file is about 30mb

kaspersky doesnt give newer version through updates the only antivirus product i think that gives latest version through update is mcafee. thats why i use it. the other is i think trend micro.

if u want kaspersky u need to down it manually. i dont know about the licence.

You should still have the license because if you bought it then it should be somewhere in the case, if you ordered online you should still have the e-mail they send out and if you activated through a key file then you should still have the .key file somewhere on your computer

no it doesnt. i have a friend of mine who uses avg free 7.5. when i checked it there was an image in the control center saying avg 8 new and beter. he doesnt like avg 8 as its a resource hog.

You friend will need to find a new anti-virus soon because AVG 7.5 has basically been discontinued
