    I think I got a virus

    For some reason my 8GB kingston USB archives all its contents... i can see it by right click file properties and then the archive is checked. Since I plugged into my computer I checked my other folders/files. ALL my folders have the read-only box not checked but filled with a blue box. I 'm not sure what that is. All documents on my USB are unable to save because I don't have file permission WTF I'm admin of my computer. I think it is a virus. KAV 2009 hasn't detected anything....

    EDIT: whenever I copy documents to the USB they are auto archived in the attributes place...

    Ok that Read only box half checked [Blue Box] is bcoz some of the files the folder contain are Read only...
    Try Tools=>Folder Options=>View=>Advanced Settings
    In that u will find Hidden Files and Folders=>Show hidden.. click on it.
    Next there is a check box for Hide Protected Operated System Files(Recommended) uncheck it, it will give a msg DO You Want To display select YES.
    Now check ur usb whether there is some hidden file, Such Infections are normally hidden....
    what to do with is still a question

    You can clear the archive attribute with the command attrib -a [[Drive:][Path] FileName] [/s[/d]]

    /s Applies attrib and any command-line options to matching files in the current directory and all of its subdirectories. /d Applies attrib and any command-line options to directories.

    I don't know of a setting which would automatically set all files attributes to "archived" so you might have malware. Maybe you can post a HiJackThis log.

    Once you compress files to save disk space it will become read only and the color will be blue.

    Um, the drive may be flagged read-only for example. This will make any new file copied to your drive read-only. Applies to all other attributes.
