On this tutorial we can see how to make a dvd using dvdstyler and cinelerra. Dvdstyler uses "mpeg2 with audio" to make dvd, the problem is that cinelerra can not use this format, but this can be solved by dvdstyler that can directly mixing video and audio and this means low loss quality!
Cinelerra is the most advanced non-linear video editor and compositor for Linux. It replaces Broadcast 2000.. It is developed by Adam Williams (formerly known as Jack Crossfire). Cinelerra is a professional non-linear video editing system. It is designed for the GNU/Linux operating system, but has also been successfully ported to Mac OS X.Cinelerra supports OpenGL shaders on NVidia graphics cards. The video crunching power that was once exclusively the domain of SGI minicomputers is now yours. NVidia users can run many effects in realtime instead of rendering them. OpenGL also opens up new video resolutions, up to 4096x4096 on high end cards.Cinelerra does not support every codec ever invented, but it does support the most common WMV and FLV derivatives well enough to transcode them into a format suitable for editing. MPEG video can be edited straight off the DVD. H.264 or MPEG-4 on Quicktime is the standard export format. Before we scare you away by saying cinelerra only runs on X-based operating systems only (i.e. NOT MS Windows), it is possible to try cinelerra out without modifying your computer. This is possible through the use of Live CDs. Here are some of the Live CD's known to contain cinelerra
It is capable of:
---Editing ("cutting") video and sound
---Adding audio and video transitions, such as cross-fading, between cuts.
---Adding audio and video effects to selected parts of the timeline.
---Dubbing and mixing many audio channels.
---Compositing several "tracks" of video.
---Use keyframes to control effects and levels over time.
---Edit and render high resolution video.
Use a rendering farm.

Using DVDStyler to create DVD menus for your movies so you can watch them on the telly.
1) After we make our video with cinelerra, we can start rendering ( file > render ):
2) After we write in the first box the name of the file, ( test ) we will choose the codec YUV4MPEG, Check the Video option, and the video tool option. ( Also, you can Insert Nothing ). Press on MPEG2ENC pipe preset and choose the appropriate DVD setting.
3) Now export audio with the same name as that of the video, and choose codec AC3- check only audio and setting bitrate with the audio tool icon.
4) Now we can start using dvdstyler.
5) To start, we will grab a button on the layout menu and we can choose an image to fill it in:
6) Additionally, we can add text with a right mouse button click on layout menu.
7) Now we can choose our exported .m2v video and drag it on the menu thumbnail image.
8) We can now see a little icon on video, and finally we can simply drag on an audio file.
9) If we try clicking with the right mouse button on the menu button, we can see that dvdstyler automatically chooses the first title to start with....
10) Now we can press on the gear button, which will start to make the dvd.
