Close a program when windows start

I've got Drivecrypt an encrypting software which every time gets started with windows as a window as well as in the notification area. I couldn't locate any setting to avoid this. At the max I could make it start minimised. To use the hotkeys associated with this program I don't want to stop the program completely but I don't want the taskbar entry.

You want to disable DriveCrypt from starting up during Windows startup or you want the program to run silently in the background?

If it doesn't support hiding from taskbar and only running it in notification area, then you'll have to use some third party software to do that.
