VirtualBox use with XP & 7

Ray wrote a couple of tutorials on installing Windows 7 on XP machine by use of VirtualBox. I can do this however I am attempting to install XP on a Windows 7 machine using VirtualBox and I have not been successful. I first tried using the XP CD and would get a message stating "no bootable OS available". I then made an iso of the disk and tried again. I still get the same error. Would appreciate some advice on how to make this work---or a good tutorial. I am good at following recipes. Tanks in advance for any help.

PS: I am using Windows 7 Ultimate, but cannot use the Windows XP Mode as my Bios is not capable. Thus, the reason for using VirtualBox

If you ask same question on Virtualbox forum, they tell you to read manual - so why don't you start doing so? Start with 3.2, 3.3, 3.4... 4.2 for Guest Additions... you should really read manual you know?

    Try enabling "passthrough".

Murphy, thanks for the link. I watched it, followed directions and still got the "no bootable medium found! System halted". For noaccount, I had read the manual but could find nothing that addressed my error message. And finally, I tried the "passthrough". I still get the error. I have tried the disk---which is a valid, authentic disk---and the iso which was made from the disk. There must be something I am doing wrong, but I know not what. I have tried a variety of settings but always end up with the error. If there are more ideas or suggestions they would certainly be welcomed.

Is your XP installable is original CD / ISO image? Looks like virtual box is unable to recognize your ISO / CD image. This can happen when you manually create ISO image / burn CD using multiple downloaded files.

I got same problem/error when I was trying to install Win7 (ISO Image was download from some torrent site) on XP via virtual box. But when i tried with genuine ISO (downloaded form microsoft site) it worked perfectly fine without any additional config changes on virtual box.
