Download from YouTube without any software or Website

This is for all the limited Bandwidth Users (Myself being one of them)

Many times it happens that you see a video on you tube and want to download it but due to bandwidth constraints, are unable to do so. Fear not, here is a method that i use and will definitely be helpful to you.

    Here's what you do :

    1. Browse through Youtube as normal, Watching videos you like.

    2. Now when you see a video that you like, the first step is : DO NOT CLOSE THE TAB OR WINDOW IN WHICH THE VIDEO IS OPEN. IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT CLOSE IT.

    3.Now go to the following Location : C:\Documents and Settings\*USERNAME*\Local Settings\Temp

    4. Here you will find a file by the name of " fla*Some_Number*.tmp " (e.g. fla128.tmp or fla36.tmp )

    5. Thats the file that you have been Viewing, so just copy it rename it as "Whatever_You_Like.flv "

    6. Thats It. You Have just Downloaded a Video from Youtube without wasting even a bit of extra Bandwidth. Now you can apply for that Rocket Science Degree you always wanted.

Another way is to use IDM and check its setting's to advance. which will help you download any kind of video's be it youtube or flash advertisement.

@ Legend Killer, You should let the buffer fill up (the pink bar below). you would not be able to copy the file unless its completely buffered. Hope this helps. get back if you have any problems.

@ assassin, IDM can be used but it is not feasible for limited users if the file size is huge.

Might have been me, by accident. I know I've been checking off a lot of posts to delete (most of it being spam, but some of it is irrelevant bumping of old threads) If I did, I am sorry.

heh it's easier for linux users, you just go to /tmp/ and then you can watch it there
