One-click Translate to English
Are you a fan or user of Google Translate? Do you hate the fact that you have to manually go to translate.google.com to translate a text or website of a foreign language to English? Well, there are toolbars and extensions for that but how about using a bookmarklet instead?
Translate to English
Just drag and drop the link above to your bookmarks toolbar. Either select the specific text you want translated and click the bookmarklet or—if you'd prefer to translate a whole page—select nothing and click the bookmarklet. The text or page will automatically be entered into Google Translate's language detection, and you've got your translations in one simple click.

i've been using this for a while and it's very good, you can find all other languages in [url=http://translate.google.com/translate_tools?hl=en#instructions]Google's own pages. however there's also a new translate bar (not to be confused with google toolbar) which is much better for pages with lots of javascript, see

Thank both of you. This helps alot. Especially with all the giveaways going on now. Even though I am not trying to grab everything (dont need/want all the stuff that is being offered) it is nice to see what is offered. I sure can read German. LOL.

Thanks for that...it does work better on some pages but at times, I get this:
I'm getting "Error: The server could not complete your request. Try again later."
I wil justl keep both bookmarklets instead

I'm using a number of add-ons on Firefox...that is why a bookmarklet seems like a better option than another add-on for me.

yes, and bookmarklets don't scan pages all the time, don't slow down browsing, don't use resources 24/7, you can have as many as you want, are fairly easy to tweak, don't have compatibility problems...
