F8 Not Working? How To Enter Safe Mode In Windows Vista And 7 Via Boot Options
How to enter Windows safe mode? There seems to be a bug or hardware issues where some users are not able to enter safe mode via the F8 button.

Cant we remap the f8 key to some other key and enter safe mode .

Yes and no... you could but on bootup, I doubt it would detect, because most remapping software I know, requires you to be in Windows to take advantage of it.

If you system is highly compromised I doubt you can enter in Safe Mode via msconfig

Same here... it's one of those things you would think would be automatically locked out.

Quite true. Especially when you can't even boot into Windows in the 1st place. This scenario of F8 not working had occurred to once before...I couldn't use this 'msconfig trick' and had to use Windows disc instead. But still, it's good to know of this trick..
