    x264 encoding tutorial ~60mb

    Hello!
While i was not-so-active on this forum, i became an anime encoder
It's been a while since i wrote a useful post. So today im going to write a basic tutorial about how to encode a 24min video(ive only tried it with animes) to ~60mb retaining a really good quality.
    Programs/softwares needed-
http://minicoder.minitech.org/index.php?title=Main_Page ( WOT havent rated this site yet because it is new)
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/avisynth2/files/
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/
And a codec filter(might be needed)(Please find your own)

Step 1- Install all these programs mentioned above. And find your own codec filter if needed

Step 2-Using the codec filter. For me, im using this http://www.codecguide.com/windows7_p...er_tweaker.htm(because i have windows 7)Install/ Run it, and set everything to ffdshow

Step 3- Run minicoder and set it to these settings .And save ur profile!
And dont forget to change ur output dir. in the options TAB!

Step 4- Add vids to the queue by drag and drop in the input tab then press start.

    More information-
To encode a 24 minute video with these settings above i mentioned takes me ~30minutes to encode and produces a ~60mb file.
    My pc specs- intel core 2 duo@ 2.53ghz. 4Gb ram(3GB usable though..)
Below are the settings for nearly lose-less video quality. But it will take longer time to encode..And the file will be larger

To encode a good quality video, you need a good high quality source
I have only encoded animes before, so i dont know if this will do a good job with tv shows
Don't hesitate to experiment with the settings

    Good tutorial! Thanks.

Are you encoding animes for a team or just for you? If you're on a team, where can I get the releases? =P

I upload my encodes to websites such as mini theatre and anime A.
I always try to provide the fastest mini MKV as soon as possible.
Kaichou wa maid sama and kiss x sis are my top priority encoding animes :P I encode them as soon as they are subbed

    Currently im encoding:
    Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
    Kiss x Sis (TV)
    Mayoi Neko Overrun!
    Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
    Working!!
    Ranked in order

You can P'M asking me if you want links for my encodes.
