    You can do this by typing chrome://plugin in Chrome’s address bar and clicking on Disable against the Adobe Reader plug-in entry
    doesn't work with Chrome 6.0

    regarding chrome 6.x support you can try "safe-plugins" startup switch which is suposed to do the same
