How come Mozilla does not fix it in their update?

@safeguy: Thanks for tip. I have used it since its beta release. Unfortunately, latest builds add few features, which are not good for end users. It tries to register itself for autostart at each boot irrespective of settings. It tries to access every process even though user has not enabled 'global process'. Prevx classify it as medium risk malware due to such behaviors. KIS proactive defense also notify about its nasty actions. DefenseWall stops it from querying all process.
Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x86 + KIS 2011 (11.0.2.556 b.a.c.d) + Sandboxie Paid (3.54) + Deep Freeze Standard (7.20.020.3398)

Yup, it adds new features but you don't have to use them. I've got no such problems here, and I'm using the latest version. And definitely your security software, all of which have HIPS-like component, will alert you since it is an executable located at Firefox Profile Folder which tries to access the memory of other apps if you set it to "Memory Recovery For All Running Application Processes". If you un-check the option, it should abide by your setting (unless there's a bug). Just set your security software to allow,'trust', or ignore it...I assure you it's malware-free.
I trust the developer...you can see his post here on MozillaZine.

I would have used AFOM ("the elder brother") from the same developer, IDEVFH but it's no longer supporting Firefox beyond V3.6.

@safeguy: Thanks for detailed answer with useful info
With un-checked option 'Memory Recovery For All Running Application Processes', DefenseWall reports that it still tries to access all process (by name).

Another high recommendation to add to this would be to use the program CleamMem.. it's a free program and this drastically reduces the memory that FF apears to use. I noticed probably a 40%+ decrease in the memory used once i run this.. For those unfamiliar with the program, you download it.. you clic kit once and then it basically sets up a Windows Scheduler so that ever ~30mins or so, it runs the process and it frees up unused memory in the programs.. right now i see FF using 179mb of memory.. once i clicked it.. my FF reports that it is now only using 83mb... can we say HOLY COW!! ;P
anyway.. i Highly recommend the prograam.. it will free up ~10% or more of ram being used and help the machine run a bit better
if you are interested in the progam, let me know and i can find and post the link to it in here for ou.. but i think it is avail on the downloads.com/cnet site..
