creating Anti Virus for thesis...

I'm begging you guys please help me for my thesis...I'm planning to create or to propose an anti virus software for my thesis. i want to explore things that are beyond my expectation, i want my parents to be proud of me someday.please help me...
from basic information that i need guys... I'm hoping for your guidance and support!!!

Create an antivirus software, that won't be easy :P
You need a virus samples, analyze how they work, create detection, and also cleaning up.

One thing you can do... download different software and strip them, then add this and that from one and create your own antivirus with the best components of the others. I dunno how it can be done though...I'm not a developer and I certainly know NOTHING about programming..

My friend your subject is broad and complex. Developing an AV requires adept skills and years of training & experience. You need to master the basics and the high level type of programming, starting from the base,the platform, detection techniques, networking parameters and to the malicious software itself ( malware analysis/reverse engineering ). You need to employ several heads ( teamwork ) for this project because it's not as simple as the idea written...

First of all you need the basics like ceyfer said above. You must know good coding then the other's. After that follow boyzee's link. You must need to know good coding if you want to become a good antivirus developer. So don't worry just follow the routine. Best of luck for your future.

why do you need an antivirus while you can just make something like a special tool for a group of malware. sort of cleaning tool such as almost every AV vendor does.
