    upload_2017-3-18_14-13-11.png

    Disk Activity : 100 % for hours

    From Perfmon:
Highest Disk Activity by svchost.exe on NTFS Volume Log file
Im guessing its indexing & Stopped Windows search service, but No immediate change in Disk Activity.

Any thoughts whats happening here or a possible fix?

Go into Task Manager > Processes and expand the Service Host that is causing the disk activity, that will give you a list of services inside the SvcHost to narrow down which one is the problem. Then right click and stop each service in turn to see what happens...

Thanks a lot HAL. Stopping one of the services solved the issue. Not sure which one it was. Missed the name...

Restarted the system, to start over, to see which one it was, but disk activity is normal now.
I think i've had the issue for a week or so. Now have to wait for it to reoccur to see which service it was.

And Good to see u HAL:):):):)

it windows 10, telemetry? even in windows 7 i stop using windows update cause they keep install telemetry which increase my bill and reduce my laptop lifespan. its like microsoft stole money on their customer silently throught their telemetry which behave like unwanted bitcoin miner.
