Any good Flip Book software for Ubuntu 14.04 ? I could do with a free one.
No one ?
Is it to create the flip-page effect on a webpage, to create a printed flipbook (animated by flipping pages(corners) ), or and effect for video production?
Someone I know want a stand alone Flipbook brochure.
Sorry for the delay (my SSD has gone downhill and I lost a few files from the last days, including a small comparison of flipbook solutions...) In short, there is no good flipbook software for linux, that I know. Most of them are for Windows (some for Mac).
There are online services where you can host a flipbook ( @A Guy) for free (usually watermarked/page-limited) or paying some bucks, and some free/paid conversion services. Some of these offer the download of stand-alone flipbooks after payment.
Some of the flash based versions have a main .swf, and changes are done by dropping images into a folder and editing an XML file. Others have the source file (.fla) (to be edited in Windows/Mac using Adobe Flash editor).
Unordered list of services:
bubbl.in (+bookiza), FlexPaper, Flipsnack, issuu, youblisher, FlashPageFlip, ezflippr, PageFlip, Pixelwit PageFlip, PageFlip-Flap, fliphtml5, InstantFlipbook, et cetera.
On github you can find source code of some examples.
You can also try to run any flipbook software for Windows through WINE.
There was a plugin for OpenOffice, WPS Office but I think only working within Windows.
Thank you @DNT
