Unfortunately there's no other way :(

I just recently got infected by a virus called JambanMu and I just found out that it also infects all my EXE files when I plugged in my USB flash drive. I was thinking about a solution all night and it seems that the only safe way is to use a CD-R or CD-RW.

Unfortunately this method doesn't protect your usb flash drive. What if the virus such as JambanMu infects your portable antivirus in your USB flash drive? Moreover, you can only right click on the USB flash drive to scan, but not on other drives.

I already tried that solution before but still a new type of Virus just like JambanMu had crippled my files... So I just re4mat my USB... I have 5 USB flash drives always ready for anything...Back-up

thanks for the iNfos zerokool , now I just Installed a U3 Avast but still vulnerable and sluggish...
