This program recked my system last time I used it. I had it delete a partition, move the main one, and expand that main one. The delete and file move went ok. While it was expanding, it choose to reboot my system. Took me two hours to recover the partition it was expanding. When trying to boot however, I was stuck in a loop of death. (Thats actually how I found this website.)
No fix worked, and I tried for just under 6 hours.
I have no idea how often the tool messes this kind of thing up, but I am warning you all just in case. Get stuck in that loop, you will have no choice but to reinstall.

So sorry for that experience. Way back when I was starting in the forums and I have not been acquainted with imaging I always had to re-install when things go berserk and yes it took time and wasted much effort. So now before I go on doing anything with a partitioning software especially on system partitions, I always make an image backup first just so if there are instances or issues experienced I can just recover that clean image and I'm good as new. Most partitioning software of this kind have "warnings" or "advice" pop-ups to backup first before proceeding. MiniTool has that as with Aomei Partiton Assistant and EaseUS Partition Master. But then again there are instances that things go awry thus it should always be a must for any user to make backups before such endeavors.

Sorry that my reply is so late.
I could not agree more. I did have backups of my most important files, but I had not thought of imaging, so that is advice that I will follow from now on.
And yeah, I trusted the tool just a little to much. Thats never a good idea.

I sympathize with your experience Draygoes, time and effort is wasted with things like that. Cheers!

Not an expert here (but just my personal opinion). The answer to the question is of course a matter of opinion/preference and both software's usage experience. The ones who can answer it will be those who have used both thoroughly/extensively to be able to effectively render fair judgement. But in the end whatever suits a user's computing requirements/needs will always be best. On most cases the freeware versions can suffice for the regular partitioning endeavors. To those who need more features the Pro version is best. So it's a matter of preference and how it can meet the needs f the user.
