-A- You can search for portable apps or tiny apps. Maybe some1 can lead me to
    freeware that requires no installation?
    Reason?
Some of us use a computer @ the library or @ a pal's place & both frequently
do not allow installation, even when it could be deleted / uninstalled within
    72 hours.
Note: Waveosaur claims to require no installation.

-B- I like trying free fonts. Is there a place where I can download dozens at
    once , maybe a . zip file , instead of 1 @ a time?
-B2- Does open type font = true type font?
-B3- How can you see if a font can be embedded?

-C- The snipping tool in Windows 7 is helpful. Can it be installed
in XP? Any freeware ( preferred ) or software similar to it?

    Thanks for ==any== leads.

Continuing from above > Forgot to mention that I have --some-- pals that
let me install programs once in a while.

A - Portableapps.com is the first place you need to look. Hundreds of portable apps and games. Liberkey is another one although it doesn't get updated much these days.

B- Not sure about that one, maybe someone else knows some good sites...

C - I don't think you can install the Windows 7 snipping tool in XP, but this is a close copy:

Plenty of free tools around that take screenshots, including Shotty, Greenshot, Lightshot, Pick Pick and ShareX.

    Well there's https://www.portablefreeware.com/
which has a greater number of portable apps entries than PortableApps, but the later still has around 300 apps and uses the Paf format. On the other hand the PortableFreeware database entries link to PortableApps.com apps and also to portable applications which are not in paf format.

    -C-
Around 24 screen capture apps https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?sc=184
