    Hi,

    I liked both movies .
Since it has already been a long time since I read books I can not say with 100% certainty which is difference between books and movies . The truth is somewhere in the ''middle'' .

    Best regards !

PS. Besides Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective ( Wikipedia : Sherlock Holmes ) another good detective is Agatha Christie's detective ----> Hercule Poirot ( another link ----> Wikipedia ) .

Saw the first one, second one pending. If you forget the fact that you are watching Sherlcok Holmes whom you know from book, it is quite entertaining. Heard the latest one is same too.

I have read the complete series of Sherlock Holmes adventures at least 3 times in my life and they are still some of my favorite reading. I have never seen a Sherlock Holmes movie that does justice to the characters in the books, so I try to not to compare them. The same is true with Tom Clancy's main character "Jack Ryan" in movies like "The Hunt for Red October", "Patriots Games" etc. And also Robert Ludlum's character "Jason Bourne" in the "Bourne Identity" series.

The movies are ok, but I like reading the series of Sherlock Holmes adventures better. :)

The first movie I've seen, and say it's a 1:1 of the books. Holmes is a jerk in the books, and the movie, it's apparent he is as well.

Haven't seen the second... haven't had the money. But perhaps later this year.
