    What do you guys think of TMIS ? I know it is said it is heavy and along the run it has been a huge monster but is it any better now in terms of heaviness ?

    I've never used it on a PC but AV testing labs like AV-Test and AV-Comparatives say Trend Micro is average to good in terms of the impact it has on your system. So, not the worst but not the best either.

    installed it and it was heavy in the first two days but then it got down a lot . it is still heavy or at list heavier in browsing than other av such as AVG AVIRA panda etc

    Came preinstalled on my HP with i7 chip. Uninstalled it and the speed almost doubled. I would not recommend this AV.

    the question is:

    Why do many antivirus companies like to make their software so heavy on system?
