Hi everyone...I have been given a HP Pavilion DV6500 nbk, I also have a copy of WinXP which I would like to install...in trying to install it I was confronted by the message; "Unable to find a hard drive' and the installation stops. I have read all the forum info on this common issue and I went about changing the BIOS (Phoenix Ver F.22) as suggested....problem is I am unable to access the BIOS 'Advanced' settings window in the setup utility...I have tried every key combination but in all cases the setup utility is just basic, no advanced, no option to change the SATA controller.
Processor type; Intel Core Duo, 2000Mhz, Sys board i.d. 30D2.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

You might want to post this question on a more specialized forum:

I'm an XP Pro user, and whenever the OS pitches a fit, that is my first stop
