I tried the work around on Raymond.cc but when I tried to clear the dirty bit for a FAT32 volume and clicked on the DMDE GUI for Windows I went to DMDE 3.4.0 and DMDE 3.2.0.692 instead of where I should have -- DMDE 2.4.4 FAT. Any ideas? I found out that this happens when I power down manually and it comes back on the next power up.

Are you on Windows 10? I think the dirty bit has probably moved again like it did for Windows 8. We will have to revisit that article and check at some point.
